Some additional photos from the Operation Gotham Shield exercise on April 25th at MetLife Stadium. The BLS crews participating as part of the Sussex County Ambulance Strike Team had a full day of hands-on learning with the NJ EMS Task Force members and apparatus including the MAB fleet, Mass Care Response Units, Mobile Satellite Emergency Department, as well as an informative lecture on improvised nuclear device attacks and emergency response expectations. The day finished up with a tour of the stadium before demobilizing to return home. Agencies from across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut took part in the exercise. ...

This morning BLS 4355 departed the designated Sussex County Staging Area #2 as part of the County's Ambulance Strike Team to participate in Operation Gotham Shield at the MetLife Stadium complex. This multi-faceted EXERCISE is a coordinated effort by the NJ EMS Task Force with agencies from all over the tri-state area in response to a simulated CBRNE attack in NJ.
